Four Reasons I'm in Love with KONE - Hanna Inget

After 13 years at KONE, I wanted to learn something new and challenge myself. I joined a property management company to lead technical services. This was an enriching experience and I enjoyed it a lot. Therefore, many people have asked me why I returned to KONE. In short, because I am still in love with KONE. These are my top 4 reasons for it.

1. The people. I am working with a great team. I am surrounded by positive feelings. Trust. Inspiration. Commitment. We sense other people's feelings and they impact our energy more than we understand. I have twice been in a dream team at KONE. It is amazing. It feels like you are achieving something that nobody even realized is achievable. KONE has offered me interesting challenges that have helped me to find new strengths and taught me to be humble. There are always things to learn and people who think better and smarter than me. The good news for me is to have them in the same team and to be able to learn more from them.
2. This position is a perfect match. Heading new services and solutions offers me a great opportunity to utilize my experience and learn more from customers, partners and colleagues. We can explore new digital opportunities and build new business on them. I have had several different positions in which I have been able to strengthen my strengths and found out that yesterday's challenge is today's comfort zone. Jumping into something new hasn't been always easy. Sometimes it has been scary ' what if I fail? I am really happy I have had the courage to make the choices I have made. Great bosses and mentors have helped me to find the positions in which I can be the best version of me. Thanks to all the great people around me who have helped me to become me.
3. Innovations. KONE has been ranked as one of the world's most innovative companies by business magazine Forbes. Working in an innovative organization gives me assets that nobody can ever take away. A company can't decide to be innovative. It needs to be built into the culture. Talented people need to have space to utilize their talent and companies need processes enabling people to work together to create true innovations. Feeling happy and proud to be part of this.
4. Work-life balance - last but not least. Choosing between kids and career has not been an option for my family. When talking with friends, it has been eye-opening to realize that not all employers support parental leaves and organize work and positions as flexibly as KONE does. We only have one life, and it is so much better when you live it. I would not like a team member, friend or anybody to spend evenings in the office, but instead to spend time with their family and friends, to exercise and to sleep well. Why would any employer want to have tired brains in the office instead of happy, healthy and energetic people?

I wanted more of all this and I could not be happier about my new position and return to KONE. By the way, the result of my second dream team experience was the launch of KONE 24/7 Connected Services. Team, I am so proud of you all! And world, there are more of these kinds of innovations to come, just wait and see!
